Now that I've set any crazy tabloid rumors straight...
Welcome to any new followers (I don't know how you found me, but I'm psyched you're here), and a sincere apology for the recent lack of content. This post will include little-to-no miniature-related talk. Just excuses/explanations. Sorry again.
I'm still in my first year with this thing. Experimenting, feeling it out. And what I'm finding, is that I don't like to be on my computer or up in my third-floor non-air-conditioned craft room where it is perpetually over 100 degrees in the Summer. I start sweating like an animal just thinking about it. It's nothing personal, I love you guys. But the only time I like sweating is when I work out.
Also, I have a ton on my plate. (I'm so busy, blah, blah, blah...)
1: Our house is still for sale. We knew it could take a long time to sell. Working on little things here and there, to make it more appealing.
2: I'd like to say that I'm anywhere near the TinyFixation Etsy Grand Opening I've been dreaming about, sadly nope. I'm not in the mood to design/photograph mini life when it's a beautiful time to live real life. I'm hoping to get that going this Fall. Trust me, I'll be on here doing plenty of that shameless self-promotion. I've at least secured the shop name, but there's nothing for sale. Yet.
3: New England weather is unpredictable at best. I take every chance I can to kayak, because (it's one of my favorite things, and) you never know when you'll get to go again. And this has been hands-down one of the nicest summers I can remember. I've been spending lots of time on the water.
And this guy seems to like it, too. It's a new hobby for him this year.

4: The Winnebago. Y'all know we bought a vintage Winnie and we're updating/remodeling as a "couple's bonding project". Just what I needed. Here's a little bathroom progress for show. Again, it's hotter than H-E-Double hockey sticks in that tin can. The AC is another thing we're working on. Baby steps, dude.
Tore out all of the heinous, and put down new vinyl tile.
| Made our own vessel sink from a bowl I got for $14.99 at Target. |
| Had a custom vanity built. Painted the walls teal to keep with the '79-'80 model year. |
5: I'm making me a priority for once. Since January I have completely overhauled my lifestyle. Not because of some ridiculous resolution (or as I call them: empty promises to oneself), I don't make those.
I've lost 48 lbs. I eat really healthy food, and I exercise all the time. Including the kayaking. I haven't felt or looked this good since I did gymnastics in middle school. I didn't know that all my giant muscles were still there, just hidden under blubber. I look like the Hulk when I flex. And I can run 7 miles without stopping now.
6: As mentioned above, I've had a life-changing weight loss body transformation. I needed to replace my entire wardrobe. Even undies. That wasn't in the budget. So I've taken the time consuming (yet incredibly entertaining) route of thrifting (except the undies, I make sure to get those first-hand). I spend a fair amount of my time raiding the local Goodwill stores for their finest garb, and have made out very well. So well that I might add an occasional post about some of my finds and the outfits I make on an additional blog.
7: An additional blog. HA! Those are fighting words. (especially seeing how well I've been keeping this one)
9 & Lastly: People throw so many friggin' parties in the Summer! I'm in my 20's and I don't have kids. Enough said.
I'll try to post something useful soon (waiting for a rainy day), until then I'm doing Summer. You should, too!
